The Heroic Humans Podcast

Feb 11, 2020

In this episode, Dana and Ghanwa create relatable narratives for things such as mental health, abortion, and single parenting.

Ghanwa wears a ton of hats: post-disciplinarian artist, mental health blogger, creative entrepreneur, fitness enthusiast, single mother, but the one she wears with the most pride is being human.

Ghanwa’s mission is to redefine humanity by challenging what it personally means to us. Is it based off what society, peers, culture and religion prescribe, or what we truly need to thrive? She came to this realization from her own journey with mental health, divorce, sexual assault, domestic violence, childhood trauma, abortion and single motherhood. Ghanwa was recently featured in a film documentary, #SelfHelp, discussing the current Canadian health care system and creating an online mental health community, and the Toronto Star discussing the stigma behind abortions and mental health. Her objective is to make people feel more confidently human with each interaction and embrace the balance of light and shadow within us.
